Directors

The Excell
Foundation, created in April, 2008, is a registered non-profit
corporation based in the District of Columbia. Contributions to
the Foundation, a 501c3 organization, are tax deductible.
Excell Foundation’s three directors offer extensive
experience in teaching, camp counseling, team development,
music, sports, and language training. Motivated by a commitment
to youth leadership, Excell directors work closely with host
countries to design curricula and selection criteria which
predict best outcomes.

Dr. Bert Whetstone is a licensed
family and school psychologist with 35 years
experience. He is also a musician, athlete, and
linguist. He authored How to get Togetherness:
Improving AD/HD and Oppositional Relationships in
Families and Classrooms. He has coached soccer
and baseball, and consults with summer camps. He has
led hundreds of national and international workshops
on child-centered team building (see
www.drbertwhetstone.com). Dr. Whetstone
piloted the first Camp Excell in Madagascar in
August, 2007. |

Deborah Moore Orsini
is a veteran international trainer and lecturer. She
has been involved in international development
consulting in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and
Eastern Europe since 1980. She specializes in
economic development, strategic planning,
monitoring, and evaluation for development projects (see
www.msiworldwide.com). She has organized
numerous youth training and cultural exchange
programs, including the pilot Camp Excell in
Madagascar in August, 2007.

Dr. Jason D Holder is a licensed
psychologist who started Adventurelore, an
adventure-based, outdoor counseling program
(see
www.adventurelore.org). Along with his practice,
Dr. Holder presents regularly to schools and
colleges on parenting, teaching, and counseling
techniques, and also to corporations on
communication skills, team-building, and
self-esteem. He is also the author of
Adventurelore -- Adventure-based Counseling for
Individuals and Groups, and 50 Best Games and
Group Challenge Activities.
